    Event Description:
    Volunteer with Conserving Carolina to get outdoors and help restore natural habitats in the Hickory Nut Gorge. Our Habitat Restoration Crew has monthly workdays in the Florence Nature Preserve. 

    Help restore natural habitat and protect rare plants and wildlife by removing non-native, invasive plants and maintaining an important meadow habitat.

    Volunteers will hike about one moderate mile and will learn invasive plant ID and herbicide safety.

    Meet at the Conserving Carolina office (847 Case Street, Hendersonville) at 9:00AM or at the Upper Hickory Nut Gorge Trailhead at 10:00AM.

    Wear closed-toe shoes, long pants, and bring water, snacks, and lunch.
