    Proceeds to help repair Village’s storm-damaged Rocky Broad RiverWalk & Gathering Place Amphitheater 

    Chimney Rock at Chimney Rock State Park and Hickory Nut Gorge Brewery are partnering for a weekend-long fundraiser at the brewery to repair the RiverWalk and the Gathering Place in Chimney Rock Village which were both damaged by recent floods.

    Things kick off on Friday with tunes from Jeff Gregory and end on Sunday with music by Chicken Coup Willaye, (weather permitting). 

    The fundraiser includes the official release of Higher Ground Huckleberry American Wheat Beer. The specially-crafted beer was created for an event at the Park that was canceled due to storm damage. Instead of storing the beer, the Park and HNG Brewery are using the special beer for a higher cause – to raise funds for the Chimney Rock Village Community Development Association (CDA), a nonprofit organization that promotes economic growth and sustainability in Chimney Rock Village. 

    The CDA is leading the charge with 'boots on the ground' to repair the RiverWalk and the Gathering Place.

    The fundraiser will include a silent auction on Friday and Saturday at 5 pm on the brewery’s top deck. If it rains, the auction will move to the Old Rock Café next to the Park entrance. Auction goodies will include special items donated by local merchants, regional artists, and craft breweries. All proceeds from the silent auction will go to the CDA toward restoration efforts.
