Vinyl Night began after a chance encounter with Malcolm and Debbie King of Edenton Bay Trading Company on a spring evening. When the conversation turned to music, Eddie mentioned the idea of Vinyl Night. Nobody really knew what to expect, but the idea took off. Vinyl Night started with just a suitcase record player and a cardboard box of records. Five years later, the turntable has improved, the speakers are louder, and the record collection has increased 10-fold!
Whether it’s Piano Man or Dirty Dancing, you can find the crowd participating with plastic guitars and microphones. People enjoy stepping back in time, digging through the records, and requesting their favorite memory. It’s hard to describe – you just have to experience it
