Dinner and Birds of Prey Program will benefit Lake Lure Classical Academy’s Raise the Roof Campaign

CHIMNEY ROCK, N.C. (April 9, 2015)— The Old Rock Café in Chimney Rock Village will host “Dine Out for Education: Raptors for Raptors” on Tuesday, April 14 from 5:30-7pm. Fifteen percent of dinner sales that evening will be donated to Lake Lure Classical Academy's “Raise the Roof” campaign, which will fund the school’s new building and campus in Lake Lure.
Participants in Dine Out for Education can also see an educational program about Raptors, which is the mascot of LLCA, at no charge. Program times are at 5pm and 7pm and will take place on the back deck of the Old Rock or at the RiverWalk behind the restaurant. The programs will stress the important role Raptors play in our ecosystem and will offer folks the chance to get an up-close look at the incredible characteristics of these beautiful creatures.
The Old Rock’s full menu of soup, salads and sandwiches will be offered, including their famous Hickory Nut Gap farm Zagat-rated 100% grass-fed beef burger and their new Bratwurst with Lusty Monk mustard. Round out your meal with their scrumptious Apple Brown Betty or luscious Salted Caramel Brownie for dessert.
Chimney Rock Management, LLC, manager of the Old Rock Café, is pleased to support the Lake Lure Community Education Foundation in their fundraising effort to “Raise the Roof” for the Lake Lure Classical Academy.
