    ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT

    • Worked with TOLL to change Food Truck Ordinance - Food Trucks are now allowed in the Town's jurisdiction, on any commercial property that "could" have a restaurant, with a once/year food truck permit w/the Town for $100.00.  Good for all events or food truck opportunities in Lake Lure for one year.
    • Currently working with TOLL Planning & Zoning - asking to adjust current alcohol ordinance language.  Currently, in the Town's jurisdiction, you must have a restaurant, 30% of sales must be food, with 36 seating capacity to serve alcohol (unless a brewery, vineyard, distillery - fall under different State rules).   All bars, pubs, clubs must be located in the General Commercial Shopping District - which is by Ingles.
    • Continue to push the "Year of the Trail" with our live asset map connecting our businesses with our outdoor visitors.  Also serving on the Rutherford County Year of the Trail Coalition team.  More information to come regarding upcoming events.
    • Open House and Ribbon Cutting for Dwell Realty with promotion of the upcoming Gray Hawk Cafe & Garden
    • Revitalization of the Lake Lure Golf Course - held two community meetings to inform public of the proposal and the TOLL's stand on the issue.  TOLL is currently in conversations with the organization discussing the proposal.
